Due South has taken over my brain...

So, I have seen a total of 4 episodes... 2 while I was in England and 2 that found their way into my possession. And I loved them and want to see more (and have been shamelessly indulging in fanfiction).

I know many of you came over/are part of the DS fandom, you know you want me to get hooked on the series, that means I'll start making DS fanart, graphics and icons!

Or, if you want some actual DVDs, I have S3 available for bids on my auction. If you are interested (and win) and find out you can't pay through my donation site direct to justgiving/MSF, I'm sure we can work something out (e.g. if you can pay someone via PayPal, then you can pay me directly and I can then make a payment in your name).

If you are interested, then the listing is here

Of course freebie dls are always good so no worries if you go that route :)

All payments for anything won have to be made directly to MSF/DWB. Payment will not be made to the person donating the item. It's the only way I have of checking that payment has been made where the money will go to MSF/DWB without insane charges been made. I will get notification of payment and have asked that anyone making payment to note the MSF number for the auction item and I will then let the person offering the item know the details of where to send it etc.

In this case the very lovely bod donating this boxset is a good friend of mine and I am sure we can work out payment for the postage (I can look into cheaper methods of secure postage for you). I know for a fact that she is extremely interested in the piece of digital art that you are offering and, if she doesn't win that, then I am 100% sure that between the 3 of us we can work out payment for the best possible postage, should you decide to place a bid and win it! Of course, as she is a friend, I can always make sure it gets to Birmignham in time as well as another option!

Hope that helps! Let me know if you want me to check cheaper postage options - we have special contracts at work that I am sure I can take advantage of and I can get quotes for you on Monday.

::hugs you for living so far away - I remember what it was like when I lived in France and was a) too scared to fly to the US/Canada or just couldn't afford to take the time off or even afford to go back to the UK for any fannish activities, let alone arrange to buy anything and get it imported::

bhuon! That is so wrong! I do want you to get hooked on the series! It is excellent!

I really can not think of any fanart? Huh.

If you want to read awesomeness in due South, start here:

http://www.trickster.org/speranza/stories.html

Which Ray did you see? Blond or Brown hair?

[identity profile] porntestpilot.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, Fraser + RayK [blond-CoTW] forever and ever and ever. I do not ship him with RayV.

Call of the Wild is my favorite thing ever. I mean, tv-wise, I've been it about 11 times.

And yes please draw them! I will think of bribes!

[identity profile] porntestpilot.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I had never heard of it, but I love his story-telling voice, so I have listened many many times.

But RayK's hair is some sort of technical nightmare.
I can imagine that! But you draw John's! Maybe draw Def first?

Have you seen Men with Brooms? It's fun to watch after due South.

I can't type! I'm sorry, yes, I meant Dief.

Ahaahaa. I think Jack from Torchwood is John and Rodney's son! We would do a line of this.

Reading cesperanza's due south fic is how I got into SGA :D

I'm so pleased it's taking over your brain! It's my favourite show ever, since I was a kid! (Although now possibly for different reasons - Fraser/RayK OTP).

There is an out-takes video for season 3, I'd need to find it though... if you wanted to see it.

[identity profile] archaeodancer.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll get on to finding it for you :)

[identity profile] archaeodancer.livejournal.com 2007-04-16 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok, it seems that it's MUCH easier to track down than, oh, this time last year, when I was after it (like a mad woman with exams to revise for)

The clips are all from Season 3 (+4) and I think it was made for the final cast wrap party. And it's funny *g* There's not much else to know, I think.

For now

Ahahaha I'm just the same! I only got into dS recently. From SGA-fandom into dS, where most people got from dS to SGA. +g+ But there is *so much* brilliant fic and that show was so great, I'm just happy I found my way eventually. :)

And I hope you get a hold of the episodes, I'm very much looking forward to the fantastic fanart you might create! \o/
