Due South has taken over my brain...

So, I have seen a total of 4 episodes... 2 while I was in England and 2 that found their way into my possession. And I loved them and want to see more (and have been shamelessly indulging in fanfiction).

I know many of you came over/are part of the DS fandom, you know you want me to get hooked on the series, that means I'll start making DS fanart, graphics and icons!

Oh honey, I saw the box set and my fingers are itching to buy it, the problem isn't actually paying for the auction money, because I can do that via credit card and I still have some leftover money from the exchange permit I got when going to England (even though my credit card refused to work at the hotel) but rather that the person auctioning wants the sending money payed to her directly and I haven't a clue how to do *that*. We can't make money orders or international checks, or deposits ore any thing like that, only credit card payments.

Hmm... something just occurred to me. If the person auctioning the DVD, buys something at the auction, I could pay the money for the postage for her there. Akk... also because our postal system is crap, she'd have to mail it with either DHL or FedEx or something like that and I just checked the FedEx Page and it is about 60 pounds to send something from England to Venezuela :(

Option 3 has me sending it to a friend in Birmingham and him giving it to his mother who will visit him probably next month and she bringing it back with her to Venezuela.

I so want to live in a developed country, it is hard to be *fanish* here *weeps*.

All payments for anything won have to be made directly to MSF/DWB. Payment will not be made to the person donating the item. It's the only way I have of checking that payment has been made where the money will go to MSF/DWB without insane charges been made. I will get notification of payment and have asked that anyone making payment to note the MSF number for the auction item and I will then let the person offering the item know the details of where to send it etc.

In this case the very lovely bod donating this boxset is a good friend of mine and I am sure we can work out payment for the postage (I can look into cheaper methods of secure postage for you). I know for a fact that she is extremely interested in the piece of digital art that you are offering and, if she doesn't win that, then I am 100% sure that between the 3 of us we can work out payment for the best possible postage, should you decide to place a bid and win it! Of course, as she is a friend, I can always make sure it gets to Birmignham in time as well as another option!

Hope that helps! Let me know if you want me to check cheaper postage options - we have special contracts at work that I am sure I can take advantage of and I can get quotes for you on Monday.

Ok, I'll try to bid on it, and we'll work out the rest as we go. Paying directly to MSF/DWB for the item should not be a problem with my credit card.

At the moment I registered (twice) and am awating the e-mail with my password from biddersvillage, does it normally take more that 10 min to arrive?

What I meant is that if the person offering the item wins something in the auction, I could pay at the MSF/DWB website for her (MSF still gets all the money for the items) and that way I can pay her for the shipping, since it says on the comments for the item that "Please note that payment for postage only will need to be made separately and directly to me and not made through the justgiving/MSF website." (I would put her item name and her name on the MSF comment). But if it's not allowed/is just a dumb thought, we'll think of something else.

If you can find cheaper shipping quotes, that would be really awesome and I will ask my friend about getting it back to me from Birmingham through his mother.

I saw two episodes of season 1 or 2 in England with the original Ray and then Call of the Wild with blond Ray. I think the blond and Fraser are just made for slash... I reserve judgment on RayV, so far I don't see any sparks although he does crack me up... I probably need more exposure.

Ahahaha I'm just the same! I only got into dS recently. From SGA-fandom into dS, where most people got from dS to SGA. +g+ But there is *so much* brilliant fic and that show was so great, I'm just happy I found my way eventually. :)

And I hope you get a hold of the episodes, I'm very much looking forward to the fantastic fanart you might create! \o/
