For my latest project (read: insane piece of art...) I need to know how the Stargate in Atlantis works... what parts light up, what parts rotate...
I have seasons 2-4 here in Japan, but I cannot find an episode where we can actually see the dialing sequence. I've checked about 10 different episodes with no success, either they are already on the planet, or we just get the wormhole... I guess all the dialing sequences are in the 1st season?
I remember the clamp things light up as the chevrons are locked, but what is the sequence? Which one lights up first? Top? bottom-right?
Also, I think the part with the symbols did not rotate as the original Stargate did, but they lit up? Or something?
If anyone could point me to the right episode to look this up, or show me screencaps or a clip, or just explain it to me, I'd be very grateful.

Anyway, I accidentally forgot S1 in Venezuela, and only have from S2 onwards with me... I remember that scene in the pilot where Rodney is counting the encoded chevrons the way Walter did... but alas, I cannot access it.
