Fanart for prudentia

The story goes like this: I met the4ts at Pegasus Two and she was really helpful to a lost Venezuelan tourist. Then she ran an auction for David Hewlet's birthday, for his favorite charity 'Medecins Sans Frontieres' (Doctors Without Borders). And she asked if I would donate fanart. And I was like, "Sure, if you think anyone would like to buy it..." and someone *did*!

prudentia gave me a few prompts to choose from and I ended up drawing her a picture of John, Rodney and Atlantis and a scene from toft_froggy's AU String Theory, a Concerto for Violin in D Minor, which is also one of my favorite fanfics.

Since we came to an agreement and I sent her the originals by regular mail, she said I could post the drawing here too.

It was all for a good cause! The auction raised more than a thousand pounds! Also, I might do this again next year, so keep your eyes open!

:D John is so pretty and the violin somehow became both sexy and sweet by association... and Rodney in the corner listening to John play is one of the best scenes in fanfic *ever*. I adore it.

The paintings have arrived -- both of them today -- and I think they are even more beautiful in real life!

I absolutely love the little pencil drawings that accompany them. I think I see some icon making in my future.

:D AWESOME! That is *great* news! They arrived in a week, I'm impressed! I checked my PO Box yesterday, and neither yourst nor my amazon.ca packets have arrived... bummer...

And I told you my scanner did weird things to the drawings... (like that odd yellowish stripe on Rodney in the first and at the bottom of the second that I tried to eliminate). I too think my drawing look better on paper!

And I'm glad you like the little doodles! I wanted to surprise you a bit, sorry I didn't have time for more. Icon away!

Also, you should let toft_froggy know you commissioned art for her story, I'm sure she'll be flattered and love to see it. And it is all because of you!

Oh these are simply wonderful! I love that AU with such a deep, abiding passion and that piece of artwork is gorgeous!

Am also really glad I didn't make you more confused or lost! But most sad we didn't meet before we did :( However am ecstatic that you are thinking of maybe contributing something for next year's auction as well :)

Unfortunately, no... so far I'm not going to P3, because I have to save money for Japan (I'll go there in April, so if I spend my money in England, there won't be a lot of time to dave up money again)! But I'd love to go... you're tempting me! And I already used up all my quota of staying with friends in England. ¡_¡

OMG! That's so *lovely*! I am massively flattered, and also in awe, because, ooh, I love the way you've done the phone connection with the music, and that rug looks soft enough to touch. I love the way Rodney's curled in on himself too, and John's all opened out. It's perfect. (Also, my name is Anna too, so I can look at the signature and pretend it is especially for me!)

What would you like me to draw, especially for you this time? It can be something from a fic, or from something you are working on right now and want a cover for or something you just wish to see!

prudentia is called Anne, so this is one hell of a coincidence!

The phone connection was the first thing I thought of, and I had a hard time drawing John, while Rodney was remarkably easy to draw... and I want that carpet!
