And I hope you find a way to draw them. They're all about the hair -- Fraser's is just a tiny bit more unruly than he'd like, and Ray's kind of curves back a bit from his forehead. Er, not that I've ever successfully drawn them myself, you understand. ::g::
Have fun reading! I rec anything by thisisbone and/or cimmerians (a.k.a. Aristide/Mairead Triste). They sometimes wrote DS together, and when they did, screens across fandom burst into flame. Bone's stuff is on her webpage. Aristide/Mairead's old stuff is at the House of Slash, and her latest DS story (which is wonderful) is at her journal.
Is this the Mountie Sings the Blues episode? Oh man, I love his wooden swaying ♥ Due South was my first fandom, soooo much love for it. The first icon is wonderful :D
:D I'm sort of swimming the fandom waters backwards: first SGA, then due South. But I'm enjoying this new(at least for me) fandom tremendously, indulging in fanfic(and looking for fanfic recs...) and trying to find a way to draw the guys.
And that episode turned my brain to mush... I mean Fraser looked so *gleeful* when people wanted him to sing. And his dancing is just too cute.
Also, because of crysothemis's advice, there is now a proper 100x100 Dancing!Fraser!Icon.
I guess you already know about cesperanza's stuff, if not, run don't walk! I still read them even though I finished mainlining due south about two years ago. Will let you know once I remember about other really excellent writers/stories, it's been a while.
How to draw Fraser: Big brown hat, bright red coat and pumpkin pants. Plus or minus white wolf-dog. How to draw Kowalski: SPIKY hair. There you go, instant recognition XD
Aw, bigger dancing Fraser! Limited icon space, so I will only admire from afar :D
Thanks! cesperanza is who got me hooked in the first place, she's a siren, I tell you! And resonant8 I knew from Harry Potter and SGA and read her too. I've sort of been taking the fandom crash course.
I tried drawing Fraser and he looked like *Lorne*... in a mountie outfit and my Dief looks insane (and hungry) instead of, you know, smarter than all the humans around. And Ray... His hair is ten times worse that John's.

Pssst -- Image Ready has this nifty option called "optimize to file size," which often works wonders.

I'm glad you liked them! I'm trying to come up with a way to draw the DS guys... but haven't had much success so far.

But I keep trying! I need to draw!
