Thoughtcrimes graphics, icons and covers for samdonne's "Man, I

samdonne's fanfic Man, Interrupted ate my brain. It is incredibly good and compelled me to watch the movie/pilot, I had sitting on my shelf for many months. Even if you have never heard of Thoughtcrimes, it is worth reading.

Following that, I fell in love with Thoughtcrimes and its universe. I need more TC fic! And fanart! Where is the virtual season?

So I made some Thoughtcrimes graphics...

It is slightly manipped in the sense that I dyed her hair redder.

Where is the virtual season?

I've often thought about trying to get a collective together to run a virtual season of TC, but never done it for fear of lack of writers...so if you think people would be interested, maybe we could develop that...

I love the artwork by the way - it's very fitting...and that fic was brilliant. I've shied away from a lot of TC fic in the past, because people seem to make Brendan too much like John Sheppard...

Hmm... I can see what you mean, we only see Brendan for about 30 minutes and even though we get a lot from him in that time, there is a *lot* we don't know. I can see where people would sort of "flesh him out" with Sheppard bits. Which is not so bad as long as you remember that while he might have *some* things in common with John, Brendan is his own person with his own unique personality.

Since I'm not a writer, I can't, you know, *write* the virual season, I'm open to make fanart though!

Maybe we should test the waters with a TC challenge? To see how many writers(and artists/vidders) get into the spirit of TC and got form there?

Most of the fics I've read before samdonne's have drawn way too heavily from John's personality. While I concede that there probably is a lot about them that is alike, Brendan comes across as way more introverted and less able to deal with people than John does.

Oh, and by the way, I'm in the same position as you...I've not been able to write fic for some time now - which is why my contribution to SGA VS4 is 'Web Designer'...

I can write it if you want. Maybe we can bribe encourage people to participate by offering art at some point? That way I everyone gets to play! I can commit to a simple cover for each story that is more than 1000 words long. And maybe we can get other artists interested, there are many icons making the rounds, but there should be more collages and trad!art!
