So, about "Sunday"...

So I watched this episode with rather low expectations because the reviews I read hinted that it would be awful... and actually, I liked "Sunday" a lot!

I love how they expanded the Sandbox! Botany labs! Chessclub! (Now I want to see Radek and John play :D ) Doctors and Engineers that have names! The pier and now we actually know where the infirmary is located!

Radek, you won my heart with "Anime DVDs"...

I adored Lorne painting, and Liz's date was strangely hot, and Carson's fishing glee! (Carson, I love fishing! I would totally have gone with you!)

And of course Ronon and John were awesome! I liked the insight into Ronon! He has been unable to date someone for 8 and a half years? That is the meaning of true love and commitment! Actually this episode made me *adore* Ronon! He totally pwns John! (And he's totally making stuff up so he can later share with Teyla how John looked like an idiot). And that scene where he comforts Rodney... if anyone knows survivor's guilt it's Ronon.

Strangely enough I found myself Shipping Teyla/Carson in this episode... which had never happened before... all this talk of that mysterious "he" and it's obviously someone from Earth... and how when she was injured John was all concerned and Teyla ignored him and grabbed for Carson's hand... and gave that chocked off "Carson"... It would totally go with the theme of the episode of missed opportunities and ignoring Carson.

John: You were in love with *Carson*?
Teyla: We were following the traditional Athosian Courtship: I introduced him to my eldest living relative, he was allowed to attend the memorial service...

Also I want to see the episode/read the fic where Cadman comes back from Earth and is all like "Where is that idiot Carson? He didn't even call!" and it falls to Rodney to break the news...

Also John... you were married? And you wonder why it didn't work out? Because you're gay, honey.

Strangest of all I liked Rodney and Katie... not as a couple, because wtf? but the interaction was cool and Rodney was somewhat suave and when he put his foot in his mouth she understood and she put her's in her mouth too! Not that I'm leaving the McShep or anything but Katie was *nice* and she made Rodney look *good* which is always a plus in my book.

Carson... I love you, I'll miss you, and I really liked you today, being yourself and not macho!Rambo... also you were nice to Rodney... actually nicer than he deserved... and I'm sorry you're gone.

Now for the shallow part: Rodney in bathrobe, awesome blue shirt and suit! *love*

And John in dress uniform! And let's not forget still!nameless!Lorne in one too! (I was totally waiting for the shot of his uniform name-tag, the name finally revealed... but no.) Didn't John's uniform look somewhat padded? John looked so bulky and he's normally so skinny! Also was is just me or where those *major* insignia on the uniform... doesn't the colonel one look different?

And he kept giving Rodney those meaningful looks during the service! Like "I want to comfort you... or maybe you can comfort me..."

Ando Ronon totally just became the first citizen of Pegasus to set foot on Earth...

I *think* the difference btween major and colonel is the colour of the leave on the uniform.

I liked it....I knew Carson was going I just didn't know when. I suddenly went hey this is building up to something...wait is this the one? But still I liked it
