Manip: 'X' by Trinityofone

Ok, trinityofone managed to push all my artistic buttons with her latest fanfic, X.

Written for the sga_flashfic challenge 'Superpowers', the fanfic is a wonderfully well meshed X-men Movieverse SGA Fusion, that every self-respecting SGA and X-Men fan should go and read immediately.

That said, on with the art:







Poor Radek looks like an alien monster and John looks incredibly angsty.

This is the emo!Rodney to go with the emo!John. Hmm leather.

The words 'Take a Stand' were part of the original advertising. I left them because: 1. They don't clash with the theme of the fanfic and 2. you could really tell where I had removed them and it looked really bad.

I wish I could have had my boys in more traditional Atlantis Uniform, but alas! This is as far as my manipping skills go.

Thanks a lot! I have a personal love for Emo!John, he's so dysfunctional and guarded and then Rodney can just blast through his barriers as if they weren't there in the first place.

*grins* I could see Zelenka just disappearing and Rodney, once he's a little more normal, growling and trying to find the scientist. Can't you? I mean, Logan and patience aren't hand on hand, moviewise anyway.

I love emo!John (so long as there are no 'I cut myself' storylines in a song fic way). And of course Rodney would blast through. Tact, not a high word on his vocabulary. *grins*

Strangely enough in TV and Comic cannon Nightcrawler and Wolverine are friends(maybe the best friends each of them has), and they respect each other a lot although they don't show it much(Didn't Wolverine call Nightcrawler 'Furball'? I don't know anymore, I'm a bit X-men rusty). So the cast shows it is even more genius, because that's exactly the relationship Radek and Rodney have.

Also Radek would use his disappearing powers for evil and steal Rodney's coffee and hang precariously from the ceiling making him jumpy.

I also like emo!John, he has a sort of self-destructive personality unless someone snaps him out of it. I don't think he's the cutting type, but the jumping without a parachute type? definitely.

I haven't seen TV or comic enough to say. The last tv show I watched with them was uh...early-mid 90s, and back then I was all about Storm. (Anyone that can play with weather has my vote of cool.) If they are close friends, it makes sense. They both taunt each other but it's done in fun. Well, weird geeky fun.

And Radek stealing Rodney's coffee would be so much fun to watch. It's not Wolvie would have spider webs coming out to fetch it back. *grins* And with threats of death, Radek could pretty do the "Nenenener, you can't catch me" tactic. *grins*

John and self-preservation are not acquainted. Thoroughly agree with that. But at least one can say that he doesn't ask any of his team to do something he wouldn't do himself. Crazy bits and all.
