The cat strikes again...

So, once again (the first picture is here) for
chopchica and
synecdochic, because
chopchica said:
And hey, if you ever feel a desire to make an icon also saying "Quiet, Rodney, you'll wake the cat on my head," you so know where to find me :)
... I painted John and Rodney and the cat in bed.
I paraphrased a little...

Oh.. Rodney... you have to compete with the cat for John's attention... and John has to compete with the cat for your attention... and the cat... wait, the cat is getting way too much attention.
Notes:
I made the book "War and Peace", because he's not finishing it, regardless of reality.
And it came to me how John and Rodney would meet:
John: *By the snacks* So, are you friends with the bride or with the groom?
Rodney: *Between bites* The bride.
John: Me too.
Rodney: Although I find it a bit distasteful to invite your ex-boyfriend to one's wedding.
John: I'm still surprised at that. I'm even more surprised I came...
Rodney: You too? *and for some reason it was flattering that someone he'd been engaged to had dated someone as hot as the man before him. It meant Rodney and him were in the same league.*
John: John Sheppard.
Rodney: Rodney McKay.
John: So... you want to get out of here?
Rodney: Wouldn't that be kind of weird? I mean, we've both been involved in heterosexual relationships with the same woman.
John: Right. Sorry.
Rodney: Nevermind, let's go.
And of course,
chopchica's icon::

EDIT: Added three new icons, since so many people seem to love them...
For
spring_1970 because basically this is all her fault...
For anyone else who wants to share the cat-nest love...

EDIT 2:
vanwaelda wrote the wonderful story that binds it all together.
